This is a painting i did for my year 12 mock exam for art. The title we were given was "the Body"... i think. Basically i got into a pose which brought up a few practical problems (foreshortening wise). I also gave myself exaggerated features (my hair isn't really that long... and my hands aren't really that big).
I didn't actually mean for this painting to look anime, it just turned out that way. Or maybe in your opinion, it doesn't look anime at all!
It's very artistic and has a self-contained style. Nice colours and contrasts. I don't think it looks anime, well, it's abstracted from the objective realitiy, but it's IMO not anime. (Maybe I say this because I don't like anime too much ...), but I like this painting very much!
phew... well a few people in my class said it looked anime. Well i'm glad you don't think so. I'm not really that big on the whole anime style either. Thanks for the comment anyhoo.
the only part - in my eyes - that resembles anime style is the hand toward the left, I quite like this. I like the way it goes from graceful to pandemonium sort of thing (by the way you spelt fiery wrong I had to check that myself to be sure ) a job well done!

Daily Literature Deviations is a group that is dedicated to bringing literature to the forefront of the deviantArt community. We attempt to accomplish this by daily featuring Literature artists from around the community that deserve the recognition, but are not getting it. Each day we will feature 10 deviations from the Literature categories in a News Article. In order to support the artists that we feature, we ask that you the news article as well as check out the individual pieces. We understand that each day you may not be able to check out each and every one of the pieces, everyone has their own things going on. We just ask that you make an attempt to help support the growing Literature community.
A collection of the most beautiful and amazing square photographs I found among my favourites. Please have a look and give these artists the attention they deserve!
